Harrogate
9th – 12th September 2023
The team travelled to Harrogate on Saturday, 9 September leaving Lisa holding the fort in the shop! After a 7hr drive, we arrived at our beautiful apartment, just a stones throw away from the exhibition! After freshening up, we headed to Gianni’s and sampled the most amazing Italian food.
Day one of the exhibition consisted of a sneak peek of the new Stella York and Sorella Vita gowns. We gathered for lunch to discuss our potential buys before heading to one of two Fashion Shows held in the spectacular Royal Hall. We revisited the exhibition and had a casual walk around soaking up the fantastic atmosphere. We placed orders for bridal accessories and we are so excited to be introducing a new brand to our accessories collection. Watch this space!
In the evening we headed to Royal Baths Chinese Restaurant with our good friends from Madison Rose Bridal, Fife for more bridal talk!
With a busy day ahead, we rose bright and breezy on day two and headed back to the Royal Hall for bridal training with Wendy Rivera, owner of Ava Laurenne Bride and CEO of Do You Speak Bride, an internationally recognised bridal industry education resource for bridal professionals. It was such a joy and a privilege to be in her company and she provided some much helpful advice.
We then returned to Stella York to meet our Sales Rep, Jen, and place that all-important order. We are so excited to show our upcoming brides what we chose! It’s a hard life being us; we sipped champagne and dined on the finest nibbles as we were treated to a preview of couture designer, Caroline Castigliano’s new collection.
It was truly lovely having the designer explain each of her creations in great detail. It’s clear she is so passionate about the industry. Caroline was so attentive, ensuring we were kept ‘topped up’ with champagne!
Our last, but not least, visit of the day was to my good friend, Marina of Paul Zeni Couture where her beautiful models showcased her gorgeous dresses! We loved so many, we struggled to narrow it down! Myself and Marina have been working closely on an exciting new addition to Angharad Bridal – I can’t wait to show you the end result! We ended our final day at my favourite restaurant; Orchid, where we reminisced on the weekend.
