Date: 9th April 2022

Venue: Thainstone House Hotel, Inverurie.

Kat and Neil Gillespie tied the knot at Thainstone House Hotel, Inverurie in April this year. The couple wanted a very classic feel to the wedding with a personal twist. They both love plants and expanded their collection over lockdown so they went for a botanical vibe for the day, with plants from Rooted Aberdeen. Kat and Neil also went out to Forest farm diary for some ice cream just the two of them, to really enjoy their day and remember to celebrate together. Plus they love ice cream! Canvas and Peaches Studios were the couple’s chosen photographers.

They have taken the most incredible photographs, we especially love this confetti shot!

Kat chose a beautiful wedding dress Mai by designer Blue by Enzoani. This gorgeous wedding dress has 3D floral motifs and the most exquisite sequined tulle throughout. This two-in-one gown features a detachable train to go from ceremony to reception. It features a low V-back and crystal buttons. To compliment the look Kat chose a handmade Italian tulle Joyce Jackson Veil.

We asked Kat what she liked about her dress. “The dress was prefect! I knew I wanted something different by having a dress with an additional over skirt but nothing seemed right till I saw this one in the window and I just knew it was perfect, not just for the them etc but for me. I’ve never felt so beautiful as I did in that dress. For a dress with a lot of fabric it was so light and the fact I could choice what tone I wanted from ivory white to sand for the dress made it more special and unique to me”. To compliment her look Tiffany Dawson was her make up artist, Courtney at the Collective for her hair and Kristina for her nails at Nailed beauty room.

The groom wore a kilt from Houston Kilt makers and his barber was Andy from 33rd.

Kat’s bridesmaids wore Sorella Vita bridesmaids dresses. The sisters chose to wear Sorella Vita  9408 and 9072 in the bluestone chiffon fabric.

Mum wore a beautiful Lizabella A-line dress that she fell in love with as soon as we put it in the window.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful photographs. It was such as special wedding for us as we have known you since your sister’s wedding a few years ago. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness together, love the team at Angharad Bridal xxxx
