Graham and I got married on the 10th of December 2020 at Alexander house Auchterarder Perthshire. We were keen to keep our wedding casual and wanted to treat our closest family and friends to a couple of nights away with good food and of course, our Alaskan malamute Aria also needed to be there.

The venue was perfect

Set in the Perthshire hills it felt like we were a million miles away from anyone else and it has such gorgeous views.

We had exclusive use of Alexander house. The house has a swimming pool, hot tubs, games room and their luxury bedrooms and luxury yurts make it a great space to have a luxurious and fun time. We had our ceremony in the sitting room in front of the fireplace which was dressed beautifully as the focal point by florist Harbour Blooms Hopeman.

The food was amazing

The Starthearn food co catered for our every need with a fish and chip van the night before and then tasty canapés and a tasty roast on our wedding day. It’s a good job we weren’t allowed a wedding dance due to restrictions as none of us were fit to move after the meal.

We had always planned a small intimate wedding however due to Covid restrictions our guest list was limited to 20. We also had to rearrange from a spring-summer wedding initially planned for May to December.

However, I think it was meant to be as the winter theme felt so much cosier and it was the best day we could have asked for. xxx
