Robyn and Andy tied the knot at Gordon Castle Estate, Fochabers on Saturday, 7 October 2023.
We first met the gorgeous Robyn in July of 2022 hoping to find ‘the one’ at Angharad Bridal. Robyn fell in love with the dress of her dreams; ‘Melody’ by Couture Designer, Caroline Castigliano. Constructed from exquisite heavyweight Italian crepe, the gown features an elegant square neckline framed by wide straps and a boned bodice, which supports and elongates the body – drawing the eye from the decolletage to the waist. The clinched waist is highlighted by the structured leather-backed belt with a central buckle. The luxurious Italian Cady skirt is layered over a delicate organza and soft net to hold the full silhouette, whilst keeping the design soft and sumptuous. The frilled net petticoats maintain the drama of the full flare in the hem. Covered buttons and rouleaux loops run the length of the central back bodice. The design is completed by pockets concealed in the side seams that give the look a contemporary edge.
Duncan Fleming Celebrant conducted the ceremony in the Orangery with Nova Quartet providing beautiful tones. Michael Carver Photography and Highland Love Stories collaborated to capture the newlyweds day perfectly. They certainly didn’t let the challenging weather conditions hinder their day – the images captured are truly amazing from morning ‘til night.
For the evening, Robyn changed into her mother’s wedding dress; a beaded halter neck gown that Robyn had made shorter for her evening reception. What a lovely touch and we adore the images of Robyn and her Mum alone, with Mum assisting Robyn into the dress.
