Kerry and Jimmy’s rustic and roses florist wedding was at the stunning wedding venue Aswanley. For those who haven’t heard of this secluded venue, it’s a fortified house and beautiful Victorian barn set in the scenic countryside just outside Huntly.
Rustic and Roses florist, Dufftown were the lovely couples chosen florist.
I spoke with Kerry a couple of times during lockdown and she was unsure when the wedding day could go ahead with the guests they wanted to share their special day. Once they got the green light for a slight increase of numbers the date was set.
A lot of Jimmy’s family and friends from Canada and Japan couldn’t be there however so they didn’t miss out it was live-streamed by 3:16 Events! Kerry said, “we also had guest messages played after the ceremony which made the day really special! It was such an amazing day, despite the covid guidelines”.

The dress, Kerry visited Angharad Bridal back in December. I had just received a beautiful new dress from designer Blue by Enzoani so put it straight on a manikin in my window. As soon as Kerry and her sister walked in the door their eyes were drawn to the beautiful dress. As you can imagine I couldn’t wait for Kerry to try this dress on and yes it was the one. Nigella is a mermaid gown with the perfect mix of sweet, sleek, and sexy.
A beautiful bodice of floral embroidered lace and chantilly lace complements the light, flowy crepe skirt for a modern and romantic look. The slim, plunging front V-neckline is balanced by the low illusion back with delicate beading for a hint of shimmer. This was just the perfect choice for Kerry’s special day. To accessories her beautiful wedding dress Kerry chose a custom Joyce Jackson veil in Italian tulle with a scatter of diamantes throughout her cathedral veil. I hope you’ll agree this was the perfect wedding dress for Kerry and Jimmy’s wedding day, the photos are breathtaking!
